Our last email we let you all know that artist, Gretchen Klett of One Herd Art, would be staying at the rescue to help bring some fun and awareness to what we do.  As a Artist-in-Residence, she offered several classes on pyrography, wood burning with some fun horses and donkey themed wood.     On Saturday, Aug 3rd, five of us enjoyed making different designs on 4" x 4" wood boards and on Tuesday, Aug. 6th, during our Meet & Greet - Open House, we had people come and go over the time we were open and many enjoyed making key chains.     We had to postpone the following classes because I became ill and was unable to host.  At some time in the future, we will do this again.  So before Gretchen headed back home on Friday, we drew the ticket AND THE WINNER IS.....Christy Schust.   She will be receiving her hat directly from Gretchen.    Between the raffle, donations during the Meet & Greet - Open House and EqWBR items sold, we were able to raise a fabulous $452.  This is so appreciated since donations this year have been less than half of prior years.   All donations make such a difference! We cannot thank Gretchen enough for helping the rescue out as an Artist-in-Residence and all the fun she brought to the classes we had.  It was such a fun time.   Thank you also to everyone who attended any of our events.   You make a difference.    Have a wonderful week and thank you SO VERY MUCH!!!!   YOU make a difference to the lives of all the horses, donkeys and minis at the rescue and others we are able to help.
