#GivingTuesday has become an international day for people to make donations to charities around the world and one we have participated in for the last four years. We are so humbled to have raised $6585 in donations, which included a $2500 corporate donation and many, many others made through several fundraisers for us on Facebook and people donating through PayPal following our email Saving Sydney. The excitement for us continued when we went to our local Walmart in Taylor, AZ, and were awarded a grant from the Walmart Foundation for $1500. Wow!!!!

Pictured left to right Alisha Fellows, Justin Johnson, Gwen Story and Christine Griffin. We gave Walmart a Certificate of Appreciation for helping us to help families in our community with horses, donkeys and minis in need. And we got to do it in front of their new "Pickup" station for people who place online orders. Very, very cool.

Timing could not have been any better since we have had to make two hay purchases since the 27th and with this years drought the cost has gone up dramatically and in many areas hay is hard to find. For these two loads of hay we paid $874 more than we did this past summer. With 32 equine at the rescue, this doesn't last but a couple months.
|
We also made a $700 purchase of Senior Feed and Enrich Plus ration balancer and a few other needed supplies, and stretched our dollars father with a 10% off discount coupon for Tractor Supply that we received from A Home For Every Horse program that we have been a member of for many years.

It is important to us to show you where your donations go and how we use them. Most importantly we want to tell you how much we appreciate all you do to support us in our mission to help equine in need.

Tears of joy and heartfelt blessings because we like big butts....especially in the winter. Can you tell which ones came to us as emaciated horses this year???
You make a difference in each of their lives and we are so blessed to be able to help so many in need.

Many, many thanks for all you do to help the rescue! Christine |
